To achieve this control and visibility, the AutoID RFID Tracking System were implemented as the software solution and ThingMagic readers where installed in strategic spots to read the Drivers ID Cards registering the drivers location inside the facility.  Each driver’s ID card has a Gen2 tag embed.

We use a Zebra RFID Card Printer to print the ID Cards and also to write the Gen2 Tags all the information comes from the AutoID RFID System and the printer in integrated with it.

The solution brings a lot of information; you are able to know what it is the arrival time of the driver-truck and if they arrive on time according to a previous appointment. All the drivers that have already arrived are listed on an online monitor showing the basic truck ‘s information and the arrival time, that information helps to the loader coordinators to know what trucks are ready to go inside the loading lot.

Also we are able to know what is it the waiting time of the drivers in the waiting room, there is important because we need to have lower times in all process for our benefit and theirs.

When the truck goes to load the products the reader makes another reading and the online monitor shows how the drivers information pass from waiting to loading, the system shows the loading time for each truck, but it is not the same to load a big truck than a small one, each driver has related the trucks capacity, when the loading process takes more time that the predicted one, the system shows that drivers-truck’s information in red indicating an overload time.

At the end, we are able to know what is it the total process time, all the movement times and obtain reports like process averages time.

Other important information is to know who are the most accomplished and faithful drivers.
